Transporting delicate items, such as electronics, glass, or precision instruments, requires special precautions. This is where technical foams come to the rescue, serving as an irreplaceable protective barrier.
Why PE and PU foams?
Polyethylene (PE) and polyurethane (PU) foams are materials with unique properties. They are lightweight, flexible, yet mechanically strong. They do not absorb moisture, are resistant to chemicals, and – most importantly – do not scratch the surface of protected items.
Shock absorption and protection
The main task of foam inserts is kinetic energy absorption. At the moment of a package drop or impact, the foam structure "takes over" the impact force, protecting the contents from damage. Thanks to the possibility of selecting the appropriate foam density, we can secure both light porcelain figurines and heavy machine components.
Designing foam inserts
At SUPER-FORM, we do not limit ourselves to standard sheets. We design and cut dedicated shapes (inserts) that perfectly replicate the product shape. As a result, the item is immobilized inside the packaging, which completely eliminates the risk of shifting during transport. So-called "Shadow boards" are also a great way to aesthetically present the product.
Ecology and recycling
Modern technical foams are environmentally friendly. Most PE foams are 100% recyclable. By using reusable solutions (e.g., in a closed loop between supplier and recipient), companies can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of their logistics.
